Narcissists Masquerading as Coaches: Unmasking Deception in Online Communities

No One's Talking About This: Are Narcissists Masquerading as Coaches Online?

Hey everyone! If you haven't checked out my latest TikTok video, head over there first—then come back here for a deeper dive. Today, we're tackling a subject that's not getting enough attention, likely because it’s bound to stir the pot.I noticed an account with a substantial following on social media has mysteriously vanished. This account offered 'coaching' for survivors of narcissistic abuse and shared a ton of content on the topic. Right from the start, I had a sneaking suspicion that the person behind it was, in fact, a narcissist. And I wasn’t alone—others shared this view and weren’t shy about calling them out.

The Hidden Danger

So, let's get into it: How many such accounts are out there? How many narcissists are posing as 'experts' or trauma coaches? It's a chilling thought. These individuals might be leveraging their platforms to manipulate and exploit vulnerable people looking for genuine help.

Why It Matters

Survivors of narcissistic abuse are often left with deep emotional scars. They're searching for validation, understanding, and effective strategies to reclaim their lives. The last thing they need is to fall into the clutches of another narcissist masquerading as a savior. It's like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Spotting the Red Flags

To safeguard our community, it’s crucial to recognize the red flags:

  • Excessive Self-Promotion: Genuine coaches focus on their clients' growth, not their own fame.
  • Lack of Empathy: Watch for superficial charm that doesn’t translate to real empathy or support.
  • Control Tactics: If a coach seems more interested in controlling your narrative than empowering you, that's a huge warning sign.
